Data engineer

An exciting travel company is looking for an experienced Data engineer to join their ever growing team in Frankfurt (The opportunity is also available for their Munich office).

My client has offices in more than 20 countries and they are the market leaders in the travel industry.

In their office in Frankfurt are around 55 people in the development team and as they are working on a very exciting new projects, they are always looking for talented engineers who wants to take the next step in their career and to make a positive impact on their business.

• you will use state of the art technologies to build and maintain new tools
• you will be working closely with the Data Analytics and Data Science team as well as other tech and business teams
• you will get the chance to lead a wide variety of projects and work with the latest technologies
• you place yourself in the position of your stakeholders: you understand their goals and requirements and translate them into solutions that inspire

• you have at least 3 years’ experience in Big data, data engineering or data warehousing
• you are interested in technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, AWS
• professional experience as Java Backend developer - ideally you have worked or you have the strong motivation to learn and work with their stack
• excellent communication and team skills as well as good analytical skills
• ideally, experience in continuous integration and delivery
